Honoring Our Heritage, Embracing Our Faith

First Baptist Church Brampton is a rich part of the history of the City of Brampton. In 1856, Brampton became a village with a population of 1000, and First Baptist Church also had a presence in this village. The church was built in 1876 in its current location at the corner of Main and Wellington to be the home to a growing Baptist congregation. In June 1876, the Church opened with Reverend E. J. Stobos as minister.

The original church was built in 1840 at the southeast corner of Huronatio Street and Fifteenth Side Road on the property of John Watson before relocating to its current location.
